My Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning that I don’t adhere to any one model of therapy, instead drawing on several modalities allowing me to adapt treatment according to your needs and preferences.

The main models I draw upon are psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and person-centered therapy.

Psychodynamic therapy involves exploring how past experiences may be impacting your current self and uses a range of techniques to help you understand your psychological defense mechanisms, working towards increasing conscious awareness and reducing any conflict around your own needs and desires.

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on the here and now, supporting you to develop and insight into your symptoms and offering a range of practical tools and techniques to target specific symptoms which are causing you difficulties.

Person centered therapy adopts the perspective that the client knows best what they need and is able to overcome their difficulties when provided with the right conditions and support. This approach permeates into my work with all clients.

Therapy session (50 mins): £90 / €90

I do not charge for the first session. In some circumstances session prices are negotiable for those on low incomes. Discounted rates are available for psychology trainees.
